Il know-how in sostanza deriva tutto dalla TE510, che divenne poi la FE501. Il primo sviluppo Husaberg di quella moto fu un insieme di innovazioni incredibili (air ram, pompa dell'acqua sull'albero a camme...) e con effetto boomerang (furono tutti punti deboli) per una moto che in Italia arrivò, nel 90 o 91, ad un prezzo superiore ai 13 milioni di lire, contro i circa 8 delle concorrenti.
Una moto che anche nel cross, grazie all'importatore Vertemati, partiva davanti (il pilota era bartolini) tra o stupore generale, salvo retrocedere sistematicamente per la gestibilità insita nelle scelte telaistiche, tra le quali quella del filtro aria stesso nel trave superiore del telaio.
Insomma proprio l'innovazione divenne il gap principale della Husaberg sin dall'inizio.
Però rimane il merito di aver iniziato un cammino, quello che portò all'avvicendamento delle 2T con le 4T su un campo da cross. E con una moto nata per l'enduro!
dalla metà anni 90 è doveroso ricordare che Husaberg vinse tre mondiali cross, ma era oramai KTM, casa che aveva investito molto pesantemente nello sviluppo del 4T in fuoristrada, e che proprio per attingere al bagaglio tecnico degli ingegneri svedesi aveva comprato la Husaberg.
E occorre ammettere che se le Husaberg rimaste girano come orologi dopo 3 o anche 500 ore, il merito non è del romantico sviluppo svedese, ma della sostanza dei cinici mangiatori di schnitzel...
Per me sono moto da conservazione nostalgica, cose che mai più nessuno farà , ed è fortunato chi ne possiede almeno una. Perchè per quanto strana, sbilenca, pesante, non penso che nessun altro farà qualcosa di simile ad una Husaberg.
O forse si..Yamaha ha già ruotato il propulsore alla YZ.
